Prize of Public

The public prize is awarded annually to the artist with the largest number of votes from visitors to our exhibition.

Most visitors carefully choose "their" image. The picture that caught their attention the most reminded them of an experienced, often humorous, situation, or they simply like it the most... and we appreciate this award very much. The winner also becomes the central author for the next year. His image will be on the cover of the catalog, on invitations and other promotional materials.

"I believe in good, fantasy, and this is the direction my work is taking. I have a miraculous "dragon gene" in my body, which allows me to jump from slum to slum and even into the realm of fantasy. Here I meet magical fairies, unicorns, kings, princesses, miraculous circuses, flying balloons, a hunter who rides a boar, angels and many other strange, mysterious and miraculous characters. This is my creation."

And that painter is Jiří Vidlák, who paints optimistic and humorous works that put a smile on your face and on which many of us recognize each other. Today, there are definitely more painters than English teachers living and creating in Brno.
